Conference |
INVITATION Conference delegates will receive valuable insight
and information in the areas of unconventional gas
including: the first commercial Natural Gas from
Coal (NGC) production in Canada, booking Canadian
CBM reserves, shale gas and gas hydrate potential in
Canada, new technologies for identifying and evaluating
unconventional gas potential, and stakeholder issues.
Day 1 - October 22: Increased understanding of unconventional
sources of natural gas other than NGC is the focus.
Presentations on the potential of gas shales, gas hydrates,
landfill gas, tight gas, and basin-centered gas will be covered
on this day. Additional presentations on technologies critical
to the identification and evaluation of unconventional gas
sources will make this a not-to-be missed session for those
interested in unconventional gas supply other than NGC.
Day 2 - October 23: The most recent developments in
NGC in Canada are highlighted with topics covering the
first commercial NGC gas projects in Canada to booking
those newly identified NGC reserves. Four sessions will update
you on the latest developments in two of the hottest
NGC plays in Western Canada, new technology and operations
case studies, and the latest valuation methodologies.
Day 3 - October 24: Full day Stakeholder Session is
devoted to public policy and external stakeholder issues.
Presentations will be made by community action groups,
environmental groups, multi-stakeholder synergy groups,
Alberta and B.C. government representatives and industry.
This is a part of CSUG's ongoing effort to engage in open
discussions of key issues, including landowner rights, surface
impact, fresh water protection, and other issues associated
with NGC development. All interested groups and individuals
are encouraged to attend.
