Evaluation of Markets for Produced Sand

In response to the Request for Proposal (RFP) entitled "Evaluation of Potential Markets for Produced Sand," issued by PTAC in May 1998, the subject project commenced in August 1998. This project is being performed by EBA Engineering Consultants Ltd., with the financial support of five PTAC members. It is expected to yield exclusive benefits to the participants. Deliverables include both technical evaluation/screening and economic analysis of possible end uses for sand produced with heavy oil, as well as further testing requirements required to bring the "best" applications to market ready opportunities.
