CO2 is an important piece in the global puzzle facing the Oil and Gas Industry: How to reduce environmental impact while ensuring optimal oil and natural gas production. Injection of CO2 for Enhanced Hydrocarbon Recovery (EHR) increases oil and natural gas production and reduces Alberta's CO2 emissions through storage of CO2 in the oil and gas reservoirs.

PTAC Petroleum Technology Alliance Canada and its partners and sponsors invite you and your colleagues to participate in From Vision to Value, a forum exploring CO2 capture, transportation, and injection for enhanced hydrocarbon recovery. This event will focus on combining government policy and industry vision to guide the initiation of new technology projects to address current barriers to commercial CO2 EHR implementation.

This event will give you an opportunity to hear:

  • Government representatives on environmental and energy policy
  • Industry leaders explain their vision for CO2 EHR commercialization
  • Internationally recognized researchers present their latest CO2 enhanced oil and gas recovery research and technology projects
  • Organizations conducting pilots share their experiences from the field

and participate in an open floor discussion to evaluate next steps for technology development and implementation to address barriers and move from vision to increased value for both oil and gas production and the environment.

The event will wrap up with a Networking Reception where you can connect with colleagues in industry, government, and NGOs to share ideas and opinions.
