Using the Polybore System to Extend Production Life

Anadarko Canada Corporation and Trican Well Services Ltd. invite you to attend an information session about the new Polybore system. The Polybore system is a patented process that is used to repair a well bore and extend the production life of a well. Utilizing an innovative process, a synthetic lining is introduced into the wellbore to repair damage, extend casing life by reducing corrosion, or reduce the energy required to inject fluids into the reservoir. By lining the wellbore, Trican's Polybore system can be used to significantly reduce the operating costs associated with these. Anadarko have not found an application for the Polybore system to date and are currently evaluating the process for a possible trail application later this year.

Date:       Tuesday, April 24, 2001
Time:       11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (lunch provided)
Location: PanCanadian Amphitheatre, Room 260, Tower Centre, 2nd Level
                131-9th Ave. SE, Calgary, AB

Background
Liner technology has been utilized in pipeline applications for over 20 years. The Polybore system basically turns the process vertical. The same fluids, gas contact issues and deposits as in horizontal applications are present. There have been over 200 plus wells in the U.S. where the Polybore system has been applied. Two wells in Alberta have had High Density Polyethylene in place since November 1999 and in both cases the applications have resulted in considerable power and capital cost savings.
