Assessment of Phytoremediation as an In Situ Technique for Cleaning Oil Contaminated Sites

R&D Providers: University of Saskatchewan, Saskatchewan Research Council

PTAC is pleased to announce that Phases 1&2 of this project launched in early 1999 with funding support from Amoco Canada, Environment Canada and CAPP. The first phase is a broad literature review of phytore-mediation research related to the oil and gas industry, including wetlands. This information has been entered into a searchable database utilizing Microsoft Access that will be made available to project participants in the spring of 1999. The second phase of the project involves industry site botanical surveys commencing in June 1999. Participation in the site surveys and remaining phases of the project is still open to the industry.
