10th Annual Air Issues Forum
8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Description
Air emissions and their associated environmental and health effects are a complex topic that have resulted in increasing public scrutiny both provincially and nationally. This in turn has lead to many upstream petroleum industry initiatives over recent years. However, both the provincial and federal governments are proposing potential changes in requirements that could result in large impacts on UOG companies
This forum will be the place to learn more about regulatory programs and initiatives and what they are meant to accomplish, what the potential implications are for producers, and what the path forward is. New regulatory processes and their requirements will also be discussed. Additionally, ongoing industry sponsored air related research and emerging air related issues such as soot formation during flaring, innovative leak detection monitoring, and other research will be discussed.
Forum participants will learn about how these industry-sponsored research projects and their results will influence new regulatory requirements. This forum will be of interest to all stakeholders – industry, governments, and ENGOs – who have a vested interest in current air issues and their future direction.
