zEroCor Tubulars will present information on its proprietary Vacuum-Insulated Tubulars designed for down-hole use in SAGD, CSS, and other steam-related thermal operations to reduce heat losses in steam injection wells and deliver more thermal energy and higher quality steam to the formation.

Major advantages of the technology are:
• Reduced heat losses, fuel use and operational costs
• Reduced energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions
• Reduced casing deformation
• Reduced CO2 emissions costs

zEroCor Tubulars is a down-hole Tubulars provider for the Canadian Oil & Gas industry. zEroCor delivers regular OCTG tubing as well as products designed particularly for environments that required additional corrosion, wear, or abrasion resistance. Recently, zEroCor acquired the rights to sell a 5th generation of Vacuum Insulated Tubing that was initially designed in the 1960’s and has since been optimized for use in SAGD operations as well as the considerably harsher CSS projects. zEroCor provides a cost-competitive local option for thermal operators to procure Vacuum Insulated Tubing that can increase production efficiency and reduce operational costs.

This event will present technical information about the proposed technology and discuss a roadmap for demonstration and commercialization in the petroleum industry.

PTAC consortium projects are a cost-effective way to accelerate the uptake of new technologies. Costs are shared by a number of stakeholders, thus reducing the expense for individual participants. Technology providers achieve faster growth because they reach a number of operators with a single investment.
