INVITATION

PTAC Petroleum Technology Alliance Canada invites you and suitable representatives from your organization to participate in the upcoming Driving Safety Technology Forum. The focus of the forum will be to introduce new technologies or strategies to improve driving safety in the petroleum industry.

The day will feature keynote addresses on the Alberta Tactical Plan and Alberta Road Safety at Work Strategy by Jeanette Espie and Mark Rice of the Government of Alberta as well as a keynote address on driving safety by Mavis Johnson of the Canadian Traffic Safety Institute.

The day will be comprised of a series of 20-minute case study or success story presentations of new technology or process applications or proposed technology demonstration projects followed by Q&A panels. Each participant will receive a Fatigue Management CD courtesy of Fleet Safety International.

Forum Focus

Producer, regulator, auto manufacturer, researcher and service and/or supplier case studies or success stories regarding:
  • Industry and government strategies
  • Driver fatigue management and prevention
  • Driver behaviour and culture change
  • Vehicle monitoring systems
  • Innovative wildlife avoidance techniques

Opportunities

  • Learn from government and industry experts through presentations on new strategies, technologies or process applications to improve driving safety in your organization.
  • Participate in Why Are You Here Open Floor Discussion to express your views or ask questions pertaining to key plans, programs or issues.
  • Provide input on driving safety priorities.
  • Receive a Fatigue Management CD courtesy of Fleet Safety International.
