Technology Information Session

2000 01 25
2000/2001 Research Program Rollout

INVITATION

The Petroleum Recovery Institute and Alberta Research Council Energy Division Heavy Oil and Oil Sands group invite you to attend an exciting presentation outlining the new integrated Research and Technology program for 2000/2001. This will be of interest to all those involved in technology implementation and improving recovery.

Date: Tuesday January 25, 2000
Location:
PanCanadian Amphitheater, Room 260, Tower Centre
+15 Level, 131 - 9th Avenue S.E. Calgary
Time: 11:30 - 1:30 PM (Lunch provided)

Background
PRI
and ARC Energy have traditionally competed in the areas of reservoir optimization and technology development for improved recovery of oil and gas. In April of 2000, ARC and PRI will join forces as one powerful integrated unit with the commitment of helping industry bridge the gap on technological innovation. Other parts of the Energy Division family include Fuels and Lubricants, and C-FER Technologies.

Benefits
This session will outline how this new integrated unit will work as part of the Alberta Research Council Energy Division, and how it will help producers get more recovery through technology transfer and development. This is a tremendous way to leverage your technology development dollar, through collaborative, integrated research.

The presentation will outline the current programs, their objectives and deliverables. Also we will provide information on new programs which are being offered in all areas of reservoir technology development. Everything from basic and fundamental research to field trials and pilots will be addressed in the new ARC/PRI Energy Division initiative.

Topics of discussion will include: The AACI Heavy Oil and Oil Sands Research program. Additional Joint Industry Participation (JIP) projects covering heavy oil, light oil, gas and conformance issues. These are not technical presentations, but rather an overview of the offering.
