Nexen Canada Limited, the University of Calgary (U of C) and PTAC Petroleum Technology Alliance Canada invite you and suitable representatives from your organization to attend an information session on the progress of the Canada Research Chair in Energy and Imaging at the U of C. Additionally, research directions and initiatives will be discussed and further developed. Opportunities to participate in the Canada Research Chair in Energy and Imaging program will be discussed.
This Chair was awarded to Dr Apostolos Kantzas, Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at the U of C in 2001. To date, five companies have joined a joint research initiative administered by the chair: Petro-Canada Oil and Gas; Canadian Natural Resources Limited; Albian Oil Sands Inc. / Shell Canada Limited; Devon Canada and Nexen Canada Limited.
BENEFITS
The goals of the research are to advance knowledge, maintain the competitive advantage of Canadian technology as well as train, attract and retain highly qualified personnel. Dr. Kantzas' presentation will outline the work completed to date, the future potential for collaboration and the benefits to participating companies. All of the work performed is driven by the industry participants and is tailored to their specific needs.
