Demonstration of Improved Oil Recovery Screening Software - PRIze 2.0

INVITATION

The Petroleum Recovery Institute and Wascana Energy Inc. invite you to attend a demonstration session on software developed for reservoir screening for IOR processes.  PRIzeTM 2.0 provides a quick engineering evaluation of improved oil recovery (IOR) processes.

Date:  Tuesday November 2, 1999
Location:  PTAC offices, 17th floor - One Palliser Square, 125 - 9th Avenue S.E. Calgary
Time:  10:00 - 11:30 AM (refreshments provided)

Background
PRIzeTM 2.0 was created in response to a need for reservoir screening for IOR potential.  PRIzeTM has been used by more than 30 companies world wide.  PRIzeTM 2.0 improves the quality of predictions for IOR processes and provides the following:

1. Provides checks and balances for geological/ reservoir and primary oil production mechanisms data.
2. Checks the reservoir data against critical parameters using go/no go technical screening criteria.  The program selects the IOR processes that are technically feasible.
3. Calculates the incremental oil recovery and other pertinent parameters such as injection and production rates, producing GOR or water cuts.
4. Plots production and injection profiles based on the prediction results.

Benefits
PRIzeTM 2.0 is a useful tool for professionals in the petroleum sector.  It should be used by IOR specialists, reservoir engineers, practicing engineers seeking to increase oil production, and decision makers and planners developing strategies for reservoir management.

PRIzeTM 2.0 is easy to run and provides the engineer with a relatively quick screening tool to better manage their reservoir.  It does not replace reservoir simulation, but should be used as a precursor prior to full scale reservoir modeling.
