You are invited to participate in a Problem and Opportunity Definition Workshop sponsored by PTAC’s Reservoir Recovery Technical Subcommittee, to be held Tuesday, April 15, 1997. The purpose of the workshop is to:

  1. Identify and clearly define important industry problems and opportunities that require research or technology development.
  2. Develop potential ways to deal with these common issues and refine the most promising proposals.
  3. Select project champions and prepare preliminary Request for Proposals (RFPs) for the most promising ideas.

The long term plan is to finalize these RFPs by mid-May, have supply organizations submit their responses for proposed projects by mid-June, and strive for funding approval on the projects that receive sufficient support in the Fall of 1997.

The workshop is open to industry participants, both oil and gas producers and research and technology suppliers, who are interested in working collaboratively. Workshop participants are asked to respond to the brief pre-workshop survey questionnaire, as per attached.
