As part of the Government of Alberta’s Ministry of Environment and Parks TIER Program, PTAC has been awarded $2 million over 2.5 years to enhance emissions reduction efforts in Alberta. PTAC's primary goal is to conduct applied research aimed at improving the oil and gas sector's methane emissions management at a reduced cost.
Over the last few months, and continuing through 2020, Marc Godin, Director of Technology, has presented a vast array of virtual events to bring relevant and engaging content to the oil and gas sector.
Over three days, PTAC hosted a series of webinars to initiate a collaborative conversation between oil and gas companies, solution providers, and government organizations. The sprint focused on allowing a wide breadth of perspectives and ideas to be presented and discussed. Topics included: Detection and quantification, data analytics and reporting, and mitigation.
In our constant endeavor to lower methane emissions through innovation, PTAC is pleased to announce a new RFP to help industry reduce methane emissions and promote innovation within the Alberta oil and gas sector.
